For the 2009 Alrewas Show...
A fun day out for all the family!
The Alrewas Show will commence from 9:30am when the light, heavy and
miniature horse classes begin. Marquee's will open by 11:30am.
The Carnival procession will leave Leavesley's Garage at approximately 1pm, led
by the 1st Donisthorpe Scout Band to arrive on the Show field at 1:30pm. The
Carnival Prince and Princess and their attendants will present the prizes to the
winning Carnival floats. This year's theme is 'Classic Novels'.
Come see, hear and join in! The programme includes:
Heavy horses - Light horses - & minature horse competitions
Tutbury Band - Raptors - Punch and Judy
Craft displays:
Mid Staffs woodturners - Thatching - Weelwright - Spinning - Willow Sculpture and other activities with Alrewas Arts Festival - Basket making - Corrugated Creations
Wilf and his Amazing Digger!
Gus Dermody Sheep dog handling display with ducks and geese
Veteran vehicle display - Vintage tractors and farm machinery
Wood's funfair
Displays and competitions:
Children's - Flowers - Photography - Handicraft and Cookery - Horticulture - Rabbits - Bonsai - Bee keeping
During the afternoon:
'The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight' will over-fly the showground (subject to weather conditions)
The Dance Den
Jo Jiingles Mari-Vi Gomez and Children
of Alrewas at 2.15pm
Hoverla Ukranian Dance Ensemble at 1.45 and 3.15pm
Drumming workshops with 'daftasadrum' at 1.15, 2.45 and 3.45pm

Entries for this popular event will be taken from 12.30pm on the day at £1 per class (plus admission to the Show ground)
