Alrewas Show 2020- Announcement

It is with great regret that the Alrewas Show Committee has taken the difficult decision to cancel the 140th Alrewas Show for 2020, due to the ongoing uncertainty of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Following a detailed review of our options, it is clear it would be impossible for the Show to go ahead in its usual format due to the restrictions imposed. The safety of our visiting public, exhibitors and organisers must always be our highest priority.

The Society only wish to put on the very best Show and feel with current UK restrictions we cannot put in the preparation required to be sure of matching the quality and variety of entertainment that makes Show Day so special.

We will of course be contacting all Members and Exhibitors directly in the coming weeks.

We intend to move all the planning that has already taken place to the 140th Alrewas Show, 17th July 2021 and we very much look forward to seeing you all there. Thank you for your continued support and we wish everyone connected to the Show our best wishes and good health in the coming months.

Working Crafts

As part of our charitable objectives, we aim to help preserve traditional crafts, many of which are in danger of dying out as they are no longer passed on down the generations.

You can see live demonstrations of many of these crafts throughout Show Day. in 2019 we had the following crafts on display:

  • Beekeeping
  • Blacksmith Crafts
  • Crochet
  • Dress making
  • Felting
  • Glasswear
  • Jewellery making
  • Mosaic making
  • Photography
  • Pyrography
  • Textile design
  • Tweed craft
  • Wildlife painting
  • Wood turning

Just drop into the Working Crafts tent at any time, there'll always be something going on!
