Alrewas Show

Scurry Driving

Scurry driving is a fast-paced equestrian sport in which a pair of ponies pull a carriage around a course of cones in an attempt to get the fastest time.

An evolution of Chuck Wagon racing from the USA, Scurry Driving started at the Horse of the Year Show in 1968, and has gown in popularity across northern Europe, with around 35 national events held in the UK and a European championship held annually in the Netherlands. It is also popular in the USA, Australia, and New Zealand

We're thrilled to be hosting one of the national events at the Alrewas Show on 20th July. It promises to be a great spectacle and exciting entertainment as the top scurry driving teams in the land compete for the honours in the main ring.
